Crosswalk
Crosswalk
LORD, I pray this world
Will be filled with people who love You,
People who long to draw closer to You,
And flow in the river of Your will.
Help us LORD,
Help us all to trust and submit to You,
To be saturated by your Holy Spirit within,
Animated and enabled by your life.
May we be like beacons,
Reflecting your light,
In the darkness
Where You have established us.
May we be like living stones,
Like the ancient markers
That testified to your work.
May we seek not to hide,
Overwhelmed in our own life,
But make us stand firm,
With your word in our hearts
And your love in our eyes.
Make us stand firm then,
In every crosswalk of life,
A respite for the weary
Who have yet to hear you say,
Will be filled with people who love You,
People who long to draw closer to You,
And flow in the river of Your will.
Help us LORD,
Help us all to trust and submit to You,
To be saturated by your Holy Spirit within,
Animated and enabled by your life.
May we be like beacons,
Reflecting your light,
In the darkness
Where You have established us.
May we be like living stones,
Like the ancient markers
That testified to your work.
May we seek not to hide,
Overwhelmed in our own life,
But make us stand firm,
With your word in our hearts
And your love in our eyes.
Make us stand firm then,
In every crosswalk of life,
A respite for the weary
Who have yet to hear you say,
Come to Me,
all you who labor and are heavy laden,
and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
