The video above is a commercial from Thailand. An old friend sent this to me. Thanks Ed.
This is an advertisement done as a "life lesson" and is absolutely wonderful regarding doing something with all your heart. It is well worth watching...and never a mention of the product. You will know what it is in the end. Please watch and consider passing on to a young person who needs encouragement. It is OK to be different
The story of a man named Nick. I so wish that Tangle, the old God Tube, didn't start every video with a commercial, but ... this very short video is worth the wait. It helps puts thing in better perspective.
Hopefully everyone has seen the videos about Nick on Youtube, if not please watch the link above. The link below is his web site. A friend gave me Nick's DVD From No Limbs to No Limits. Actually, my friend Don was so impressed he bought 20 DVDs and gave them to people he wanted to bless. It is another reminder how blessed each of us are. Have you ever looked back on what you thought was a valley expereince and discovered it was really a hilltop?

The second Zach Woolley heard that a 6-year-old girl in Poland needed a new wheelchair, he was on a mission. Zach, a young man with cerebral palsy, didn't know how he would get a child-size wheelchair halfway around the world, but he was committed to making it happen.
The story began a couple of years ago. Krystyna Gawlik, a craft maker, designed a beautiful Christmas ornament based on Zach and his service dog. The ornaments sold in stores upwards of $75, with the proceeds going to United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham. Gawlik sent her design to Poland for an artist to carve her mold. When the ornament arrived, the carver wept. His young daughter, Zuzia, also has cerebral palsy. The carver told Gawlik how his daughter could never sit comfortably because all she had was an adult-size wheelchair.
With the help of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Birmingham, Zach changed all that.
Jason McElwain, nicknamed "J-Mac" (born October 1, 1988), is an American with autism who made national news in 2006 when he played for four minutes during a high school basketball game and scored twenty points.
McElwain was diagnosed with autism at a young age, he had trouble interacting with other kids, but during his teenage years he began to develop social skills and make friends. McElwain had a passion for basketball, so Greece Athena High School basketball coach Jim Johnson appointed him manager of the team.
On February 15, 2006, Greece Athena was playing Spencerport High School for a division title. Greece Athena got a large lead, so Johnson decided to let McElwain play in the last four minutes. After initially missing two shots, McElwain made six three-point shots and one two-pointer. After the final buzzer rang, the crowd dashed onto the court in celebration.

When I lost my career with Kmart I lost my identity. Holding my newborn granddaughter in my arms, three years of seminary and a lot of time in the furnace of reality opened the eyes of my heart to a lot of things. It grieves my spirit to look around and see so many hard working people making the same mistakes I did, going around and around in the desert I almost called my own.
God did for me what I was incapable of doing. The noisy expectations associated with my career prevented me from hearing anything contrary to getting the job done. Deadlines, fiscal goals and neurotic district managers were like blinders impairing my sight. I couldn't hear or see until that thing that stood between me and God was removed. It isn't wrong to have a career, ministry, family, passion ... if it is in its right place. When it begins to define who you are ... you are entering the desert. Husband and father are wonderful parts of who I am, but they too, though parts of me, are not me.
