Sites : I Like

Leonard Pitts Jr.
I very much enjoy reading his columns. Check out his web site.

Transitions Projects Inc.
"I saw this photo and imagined homelessness: Icy concrete sucks my warmth. Filthy mattress is home now....Averted eyes passing steps away. I am your brother. I am your mother. I am your soldier. Open your eyes. See me. Know I am here." ---- Victor Merced, director, Oregon Housing and Community Services.

IgniterMedia
Their vision is to create high quality media that equips people with visual resources that declare Truth. Igniter Media Group was started in 2003. They are committed to creating media that challenges and encourages people to live honest and authentic lives. Here is an example called Plastic Jesus.

Religion & Ethics
I try to watch this program weekly. Here's one clip on Vimeo. The Disabled and Church.

Marty Goetz
One of my favorite singers. Beautiful music. Here's a link to Least We Forget. The music is his.

Facing Life Head On
This is web site and TV Series represents hard questions of life, topics we'd rather not look at, questions we tend to avoid. Many of these stroies represent a perspective we seldom hear. This is not a site for the lazy, complacent or weak of heart.

City on a Hill Productions
These folks produce powerful videos with a message. Videos have such potential to reach so many.

JCTV
If I do watch a little television, other than the Blazers, I usually stop here for a while.

Travel the Road
Another program JCTV. What I enjoy most is the video work of their video editor. I would love to be in the video room and watch whoever is doing the video work.

MaryKate Morse
My mentor, friend, Greek and Prayer Professor, lecturer and author.

Advent Conspiracy
This is what Christmas should be about.

George Fox Evangelical Seminary
Of course.

Imago Dei Ministries
Imago Dei Ministries is a ministry of reconciliation dedicated to providing education, materials, training, and equipping for those who desire to minister to hurting people. We provide healing prayer ministry for individuals, families, and couples.

Bible Trac
Wayne gave me a great schedule for reading through the Bible in a year. He patterned his from Viron McGee's Radio Broadcast. I like the idea that the gospel stories are read together. His site is heavy on exegesis.

Janis Miglavs
A great site if you're in to beautiful pictures. I video taped an interview of Janis for Innovative Ministries. He is an interesting man and quite the character.

Christian Classics Ethereal Library
Are you a reader? Like Theology? Like the Classics?

Gaylie Cashman
Experience wholeness by embracing your body as indivisible from your mind, soul and spirit. In the west we tend to separate body, mind, spirit, soul, yada, yada, yada. We love to break things down to the smallest common denominator. Try doing that with one of the Lord's parables. It does not work. As I understand it, Judaism does not believe the spirit, soul and body are separated.

Metro Ministries
"... violence is a way of life and a constant threat. Pastor Bill has been beaten, stabbed and shot in the face. Yet, he perseveres and refuses to leave the area or give up on the children growing up in such an environment. Because of that, his efforts have made a difference, not only in the lives of children but in the community as well.

Due to the success of Metro’s programs, President George Bush, Sr. appointed Pastor Bill to serve on the National Commission on America’s Urban Families in 1991. Metro’s influence was also identified as a factor in the noticeable reduction of crime in the Bushwick community and the organization was featured on ABC’s Nightline.
